Knocked out the first pond & pad combo of the year 💪

This ½-acre pond supplied plenty of material to meet the 4’ elevation and 70’ apron requirement for the house pads, while also allowing the driveway to be raised 2’, 50’ wide, with smooth, gradual slopes on both sides.

Adding a pond to your project can cut site prep costs by 30–40%—a win-win for function and budget.

Big thanks to Mr. Harris for trusting us to kick off his dream home site!

This site prep included:
✅ 1 acre of clearing, raking, and burning
✅ 24”x20’ RCP culvert install with crushed concrete and stabilize sand
✅ House and shop pads built with 217 loads (3,038 yards) of select fill

The house pad had about a 5’ elevation difference from front to back, and the shop pad had a 2’ difference over 40’ — definitely kept things interesting!

We love doing full site preps like this and are looking forward to coming back for the final grade and some forestry mulching on this beautiful 10-acre property.

It’s always a great feeling to return for the next phase of a project!

Last year, we cleared 1/4 acre in the front for a garden and 3/4 of an acre tucked back in the woods for weekend camping. This year, we had the pleasure of coming back to clear another acre, dig a pond, and prep a cabin house pad for their future home away from home.

We’re excited to come back again soon for some forestry mulching and to cut in trails throughout the property. It’s been an awesome transformation to be part of!
