This week’s spotlight goes to Jim, better known around here as “Pap.”

As one of our heavy equipment operators, Pap is the guy we call when a job requires a little extra finesse. Whether it’s working around utilities, tight spaces, steep slopes or any other touchy situation, he’s usually the one climbing into the seat. Not because he’s looking for the challenge—but because we know he’ll do it safely and do it right.

Pap’s attention to detail makes him one of our most trusted operators. He isn’t in a hurry to cut corners, and that’s exactly why we count on him when precision matters most. Around here, “slow and steady” often means getting the job done correctly the first time.

His experience, professionalism and commitment to safety help keep our projects moving and our crews protected every day.

Thanks for all you do, Pap. We appreciate the steady hand and dependable work you bring to the team.

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Jason, our Data Manager… although if we’re being honest, most of us still aren’t entirely sure what that means. Somehow he spends his days staring at spreadsheets, clicking around on multiple monitors and making numbers do things the rest of us didn’t know were possible.

While the field crews move dirt and crush rock, Jason is behind the scenes making sure the data, reports, tracking and endless spreadsheets all make sense. If something important needs to be figured out, there’s a good chance Jason already has a spreadsheet for it — probably color coded too.

There’s definitely some kind of wizardry involved in what he does. We don’t ask too many questions… we just accept the sorcery and move on.

All jokes aside, Jason plays a huge role in keeping things organized and running smoothly. His work helps the entire team stay informed, efficient and on track every day. We appreciate everything he does behind the scenes — even if the rest of us still have no clue how he does it.

🪨 Employee Spotlight: Joe 🪨

Joe is our Contract Crushing Foreman, and his experience, leadership and loyalty make him a huge part of what keeps our operations running strong.

From long days in the field to keeping production moving, Joe takes pride in doing things the right way. He’s someone who represents the BPM name well wherever he goes — hardworking, dependable and always willing to step up when needed.

The crushing side of the industry takes grit, attention to detail and a strong leader and Joe brings all three every day. We appreciate everything he does for the team and the standard he sets out on the job.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Jim 🌟

This week we’re recognizing Jim, our Director of Operations — the guy who somehow keeps everything moving while also carrying the weight of every project, problem, delay, weather forecast, and probably everyone else’s bad moods too.

Jim works hard day in and day out to keep operations running smoothly. From coordinating crews and schedules to solving problems before most people even know they exist, he’s the definition of dependable. If something needs to be handled, Jim’s already three steps ahead.

Around the job site, Jim is known for keeping standards high and expectations even higher. He takes pride in the work, cares about the team, and definitely makes sure everyone knows exactly how he feels about things along the way.

In all seriousness, Jim’s commitment to the team and the company does not go unnoticed. His leadership, work ethic, and ability to care deeply about what we do make a huge impact every day.

Jake isn’t just someone who shows up and gets the job done—he leads from the front, keeps projects running smoothly, and brings a level of dedication that sets the tone for the entire team. His knowledge, work ethic, and ability to problem-solve on the fly make him someone everyone can rely on.

But what really sets Jake apart is who he is beyond the job site. He’s not just a valued employee—he’s a great friend. The kind of person who has your back and keeps things grounded.

We’re lucky to have Jake on the team and even luckier to call him a friend.

Ed is the kind of guy who can fix just about anything—and probably has, at least once. But what really sets him apart isn’t just his skill… it’s his loyalty and the way he shows up every single day for this team.

Ed’s got a heart of gold, always willing to lend a hand, stay a little later, or make sure the job gets done right no matter what it takes. He’s the kind of person you can count on without a second thought—and that’s something you just can’t teach.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Dave 🌟

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know Dave is basically part of the foundation—literally.

Coming up on nearly 10 years with the company, Dave is our longest running employee and has built his career from the ground up. He started as a laborer, worked his way into a Concrete Foreman and now serves as our Assistant Project Manager. Along the way, he’s taken on a key role managing all of our digital engineering, helping bridge the gap between the field and the technology that drives our projects forward.

Dave’s not just experienced—he’s dependable, detail-oriented, and always thinking a few steps ahead. These days, you’ll usually find him in his natural habitat: working in the dark at his legendary 4-monitor “space station”, managing projects like he’s launching rockets instead of builds.

From boots on the ground to behind the screens, Dave’s done it all—and we’re lucky to have him continuing to push things forward every day.

👏 Congrats on (almost) 10 years, Dave—we appreciate everything you bring to the team!

Foreman, part-time dirt artist, and full-time bulldozer wizard. If it involves pushing earth around with precision, Tyler’s your guy!

Coming up on his 10-year anniversary with us, Tyler has spent a decade making jobs run smoother, keeping crews in line, and proving that a dozer in the right hands is basically a magic wand.

Whether he’s leading the crew or carving out a perfect grade, Tyler brings skill, dedication, and just the right amount of sarcasm to the job site.

We’re lucky to have him — and honestly, the dirt wouldn’t know what to do without him.

But Charleen is more than just spreadsheets and reports—she’s our unofficial “team mom.” Whether it’s offering guidance, keeping everyone organized, or just making sure we’re all taken care of, she brings a level of support and care that makes a real difference every day.
