🔧 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: JOE 🔧

If there’s a job that needs to be done, Joe is probably the guy you want on it. He’s the definition of a jack of all trades and somehow always seems to know how to make things work.

Whether he’s welding a bucket back together, finishing drywall, fixing something that probably shouldn’t have broken in the first place, or tackling something completely outside the job description—Joe gets it done.

He’s one of those guys who doesn’t need much direction. Give him a problem, a few tools and a little time, and chances are he’ll figure it out.

We’re lucky to have a guy like Joe on the Belles crew!

Next up on the list, Barry! Barry has been a valued part of the Belles team as our Safety Officer, helping keep our crews safe, our jobsites in check and the rest of us on our toes.

After putting in the time, Barry is getting ready to hang up the hard hat and head into retirement. We’re definitely going to miss having him around.

Barry, thank you for your dedication and looking out for our people. We appreciate the time you’ve spent helping our crews, sharing your knowledge and making sure everyone gets home safely at the end of the day. Your impact will continue to be felt long after you retire.

We’re switching things up for this one! Darren is our FIRST employee-nominated Employee Spotlight — and apparently, his coworkers had a few things to say.

Darren is a Project Engineer who wears more hats than we can count. If there’s a problem, a question, a curveball or something that needs to be figured out… chances are Darren is somewhere in the mix getting it handled.

So we’re just going to say it… we are very glad Darren decided to leave teaching and come work with us. What a win for us. Seriously. He brought that same patience and problem-solving mindset and now we get to benefit from it every day.

He keeps projects moving, helps keep the rest of us sane and somehow manages to be the go-to guy for just about everything.

So, from the people who work alongside him every day: Darren, you earned this one. 👊

This week’s spotlight goes to Mitch, better known around here as “Pork.” As one of our superintendents, Mitch has become someone we know we can count on no matter what the job throws at him.

When the opportunity came to step into a leadership role, we didn’t exactly ease him into it—we threw him to the wolves. Instead of backing down, Mitch dug in, figured it out and proved he was ready for the challenge. His willingness to take on responsibility, adapt and keep projects moving has made a huge impact on both our team and our customers.

Thanks for everything you do, Pork. We’re proud to have you leading our crews and can’t wait to see what’s next. We appreciate everything you do!

If there’s an excavator with his name on it, you can bet the job is going to be done right. Dave has an incredible touch behind the controls, combining precision, patience and years of experience to tackle even the toughest projects.

Beyond his skill in the field, Dave is someone people naturally look up to. He leads by example and is always willing to lend a hand. His experience and character have made a lasting impact on our team, and we’re grateful to have him in our corner.

In place of this week’s Employee Spotlight, we wanted to take a moment to recognize two very special members of our team—Dave and Tyler.

Ten years ago, we took a chance on two young guys, and they took an even bigger chance on us. Looking back, we never could have imagined everything we’d accomplish together over the last decade.

Their dedication, loyalty and hard work have helped shape who we are today, and we truly can’t thank them enough. Even more rewarding than watching their professional growth has been seeing them build lives and families of their own along the way.
