With all this rain in the forecast, we’re wishing for a little more of THIS sunshine! ☀️

Rain or shine, we’d happily spend the weekend right here.

This custom poolside cabana was part of a larger home addition we completed, featuring a gorgeous tongue-and-groove wood ceiling, built-in heaters, and plenty of space to kick back and relax.

And we’re not quite finished! We’ll be back soon to build a custom outdoor fireplace, making this space even better for those cooler Carolina evenings. 🔥

What’s the difference between a home that feels collected and one that simply feels decorated?

It’s not the budget. It’s not whether every piece came from the same furniture collection. And it definitely isn’t having the perfect number of decorative objects on the coffee table.

This latest blog post is a fun one and more focused on after your renovation. It's a little different than our typical content, check it out here:

It's not a mudroom. It's a custom English-Inspired Boot Room. The term comes from British country homes, where families needed a dedicated space to take off muddy boots, wet coats, and outdoor gear before entering the house.

The addition we just wrapped up included just this. Floor to ceiling cabinetry with lockers (yay for hiding all the kids' bookbags and sports equipment!), benches on both sides for getting shoes on and off easily, and open cubbies for easy access to shoes and other accessories.

And how cool that this whole space was once their laundry/kitchen area which we totally reconfigured as part of this addition.

We featured an overview of this project a few weeks ago, but we’re so excited to dive into the details over the next few days!

What I wouldn’t give for a scullery like this. In addition to a gorgeous main kitchen, this family got a prep pantry pretty enough to leave open and practical enough to use every single day.

Open floating shelves, deep cabinetry, a prep sink, an integrated dishwasher, and dedicated full-size fridge/freezer space. Plenty of room to keep the main kitchen clutter-free and organized!

When a friend called us asking to save her bathroom after a botched tile and waterproofing job by another contractor, we jumped right in to make things right. (Because it’s the stuff that you can’t see that’s the most important!)

We gutted the shower down to the studs, relocated the drain, ran brand-new plumbing lines, and installed a full waterproofing system. To make the space as functional as it is beautiful, we built in an oversized storage niche and a dedicated lower shaving niche, paired marble look tile on the floor with brushed nickel fixtures, and finished it off with this STUNNING deep blue herringbone wall tile. Wrapped up in seamless frameless glass, they officially leak-free, mold-free, and have the peace of mind to enjoy their gorgeous new shower.

That herringbone work though! 😍😍

Your home shouldn't need a personality transplant every three months.

Seasonal decorating is fun, but the best seasonal home design starts with the architecture itself. Thoughtful windows, covered porches, transitional spaces, flexible rooms, outdoor living areas, and connections to the landscape can help a home feel right in January, July, and every wonderfully unpredictable month in between.

🏡✨ NEW PROJECT ALERT! ✨🏡

There’s nothing quite like the start of a brand-new addition! 🙌

We officially broke ground on this home addition this week, and things are already looking a little different around here! 🚜 From demo and excavation to digging out the foundation, we’re getting everything prepped for what’s to come.

Right now, it may look like a whole lot of dirt, trenches, and heavy equipment… but this is where the transformation begins! 👏🔨

We can’t wait to watch this addition take shape and give our clients a beautiful new space to enjoy. Stay tuned we’ll be sharing the progress along the way! 🏡❤️
