My client is dying. He’s been on end of life care for 2 weeks and has recently proclaimed he’s outta here next week.
My client is getting a divorce. After 20 years they can’t do it anymore.
My client is fleeing an abusive situation. Her voice shakes every time she voices her opinion when looking at a house.
This week has been an emotional one in real estate. The internet loves to say realtors are heartless greedy as****es who get paid too much, and I’ll agree, there are a lot of those types out there. But for every one of those guys, there are a dozen I know who attend baby showers and weddings, answer calls at 4am when dishwashers explode or bats come out of the basement, who hold space for tears and offer up encouragement, who turn on heaters while a family travels home after a loss.
Real estate is more than just a transaction. It’s about people and the stories that happen inside 4 walls. It’s about letting go, moving on, opening up, and having hope. It’s about people. Our houses are more than an investment, they’re the places we can be real and find security in a world that’s often out of control.
I’m glad so many invite me inside to get to know the real them.

Something a little different today- a glimpse into my life. Some random things you might not know about me (your favorite realtor ahem...).
1. I am a master gardener. I love plants!
2. I like hiking even though I'm certain I'll be eaten by a bear.
3. I do handstands to relieve stress. Sometimes with a wall, sometimes without.
4. I love music and have declared this the summer of concerts.
5. I've been obsessed with houses since I was little. I used to spend my allowance on home plan magazines where I'd reimagine the plans for maximum efficiency (like any normal 9 year old).
6. Oregon Coast is my favorite place to relax, unwind, and eat.
7. My camera roll is filled with sunsets and clouds.
8. I film hilarious clothing videos for my sister. I dance, tell stories, and otherwise document making a fool of myself in horrible outfits.
