Our 'VTO with Heart' series shines a light on Glick team members who have used their Volunteer Time Off (VTO) benefit to support causes that matter to them. Following his experience with the Humane Society for Hamilton County, Kody Summers-Wiley, Operations Specialist, reflects on how volunteering has impacted his life:

“Two of my best friends in life have been animal rescues, so I have always wanted to give back to local shelters. Seeing the dogs enjoy a new blanket or drink up their fresh bowl of water ends my shift on a high note, knowing I helped make their day a bit brighter.”

Colin Atkinson is celebrating 15 years with ! 🎉

Colin says, “Fifteen years with one organization may be uncommon today, but it’s something you see often at Glick. It’s one of the many things that makes Glick special. The company and the Real Estate Development Team have accomplished a great deal during my time here. I’m especially proud of the growth of the Gene B. Glick Family Housing Foundation, a public 501(c)(3) charitable initiative within Glick Philanthropies. When I joined in 2011, the foundation owned three properties with 311 affordable homes. Today, 58 properties and more than 9,000 affordable homes are represented within it. That growth reflects the dedication of an incredible team that makes this work both enjoyable and rewarding.”

This summer, Glick awarded $116,000 to 23 of Glick team members’ dependents to pursue post-secondary education at colleges and universities; as well as technical, vocational, and trade schools across the country. These grants can help cover tuition, books, and boarding costs.
