Micanopy is a small town in Alachua County, Florida, located south of Gainesville. Despite its small size, it has a rich history dating back to the early 1800s and is known as the oldest inland town in Florida. The population as of the 2020 census was 648. The town features unique antique shops, restaurants, and historic residential homes. With fewer than 700 residents, Micanopy is also one of the smallest towns in the state.
