Our team spent lunch today with R. Tyler Berry, PG, CPESC, CESSWI, Environmental Services Manager at Neel-Schaffer, Inc., for a lunch and learn on environmental due diligence, liability, and Phase I ESAs in commercial real estate.

Environmental due diligence is easy to treat as a checkbox, until it's the thing that kills a closing. Tyler covered where the real liability sits, what a Phase I ESA does and doesn't cover, and how to protect everyone at the table before a deal is at risk.

Becky Hopkins, CPM, Director of Property Management at NAI UCR Properties, just wrapped a two-day Blueprint Reading Course with ABC Mississippi Chapter in Pearl. The class covered drawing set fundamentals including symbols, abbreviations, lines, fills and scales, plus specifications, trade standards and tolerances, submittals, BIM, take-offs, square footage and linear feet, and RFIs.

Why it matters for our clients: the better we read a plan set, the better we manage tenant build-outs, bid capital projects, and keep construction on schedule and on budget.
