Are you a real estate agent and you're not sure how to prepare for the upcoming storm? 🤔

Here is our list of 5 things you need to know to be Hurricane ready:

1️⃣ Pick up all of your outdoor signs so they don’t become projectiles.

2️⃣ Insurance companies will stop binding policies in the event of a named storm...make sure your under contract clients have been in contact with their insurance agents.

3️⃣ Know that lenders can and may require additional inspections on your under contract houses before closing to ensure no damage was done during the storm.

4️⃣ If the area is impacted, closings will be delayed. Help your clients understand. Be patient and kind, as everyone works through what is typically a chaotic few weeks.

5️⃣ Check on your clients! When the area is impacted, often times our clients need to be connected with professionals they can trust as they assess and recover from any damage.

➡️ Remember that you are their trusted real estate professional and part of that means having a list of trusted vendors who can help them if they are impacted by the storm.
