Ran into a buyer who told me he and his wife are still trying to sell a property she owned before their marriage. I don't have it listed, it's a few hours away. He said "We priced it based on what we need to make the improvements to the new house work." My reply: "Buyers absolutely DO NOT CARE what you need to 'make it work'". I said it nicely, but I said it. On the list of things buyers do NOT CARE about: what you paid for it; what it cost you to remodel, repair, maintain, what you'd like to buy next, what you 'think' you should get. An honest agent tells you the truth: buyers determine prices. Not sellers. Not agents. BUYERS.

Today marks 250 years of American independence—declared, defended, challenged, separated, reunited—but never defeated.

I remember my own loved ones who fought for America, especially my dad, Hugh Jackson, who served under General Patton, and my uncle, Jim Mercury, who served in the U.S. Navy.

“When men take up arms to set other men free, there is something sacred and holy in warfare.”—Woodrow Wilson, 28th U.S. President, in office 1913-1921.

Happy Independence Day!
