Hey, one of my community members was mistakenly detained by ICE outside the Will County courthouse in Joliet. We are working to get him back home. If you could find it in your heart to contribute, if even just a few dollars, to help offset his lost wages, he has a family, and legal fees, the go fund me info follows. I understand money is tight. If you are unable to donate, it costs nothing to share. Ty.

Javier Cortez Sanchez is a hard-working man dedicated to his family, a loving father, a loving husband, son, brother and uncle who has always been present for his family. He is very dear to all who know him, since he is a good-hearted person, who helps others without thinking twice.

He was recently detained by ICE in Joliet, at an unexpected moment that has taken his entire family by surprise, which is causing deep concern and sadness for his nuclear family since it is the main provider of the home. He was arrested by mistake, as he was mistaken for someone else, even though he has a work permit, which is a cause of desperation and anguish for his family to not know what it might happen.

His absence is felt and hurts every day more, as it is a fundamental pillar in their lives. His family is struggling to bring him home and needs support to cover legal expenses during this sad and difficult process.

Please consider donating and sharing this collection, since every support, however small, is very valuable to gather what is necessary so that Javi, as everyone calls them back home, as soon as possible where every day there is a son who asks where his dad is and when he returns to which there is not words to explain only a knot in the throat that says soon, not knowing how to explain the situation to the little one.

It is deeply appreciated that they take a minute of their valuable time to share as well as heartfelt gratitude for what they can donate, as Javi finds himself in a situation of depression and despair not knowing that it may be from his family.

Thank you very much for your contribution.
