10/1/2025. While staying with friends in Volcano, HI, we got up at 3am to catch Kilauea's Episode 34. Standing a mile from fissure, we can feel the heat and hear the roar from a mile away. This double fountain produced twice the amount of lava than previous episodes and fountained 1300 feet up. By 7am, the eruption has ended. Ferociously powerful, beautiful, awestriking, humbling all at the same time. www.holualoahideaway.com
