Hot Water Leak? We Found It.

This customer noticed signs of a water leak but had no idea where it was coming from. After some investigation in the attic, we located the culprit: a leaking PEX-A hot water line fitting.

Even a small leak can cause significant damage over time, especially when it’s hidden above ceilings and insulation. We isolated the affected section, made the repair, and restored the system back to proper working order.

Kohler Toilet Major Rebuild

Not every toilet problem means replacing the toilet.

When multiple toilets in the same home start showing signs of wear, a rebuild can often be the most cost-effective solution.

For this customer, we rebuilt several Kohler toilets by replacing the AquaPiston flush assemblies, tank-to-bowl gaskets, and fill valves. Years of use had taken their toll on the internal components, leading to poor flushing performance and reliability concerns.

Instead of replacing multiple toilets, we restored them to proper working order with new internal parts, saving the customer money while extending the life of their fixtures.

Sometimes a toilet replacement is necessary. Other times, a quality rebuild is all it takes to get many more years of service.

Sometimes the Problem Isn’t the Toilet. It’s What’s Under It.

This customer called us out for a loose toilet. Upon removal, the entire fl**ge came up with the toilet, which is never a good sign.

After further investigation, we discovered the original builder had missed the designated riser location and used an offset fl**ge to compensate. Unfortunately, the installation was heavily modified, lacked proper support, and was barely holding together.

In this case, there was no practical repair that could be made from above. Correcting the issue would require major concrete removal and tunnel work to access and rebuild the drain properly.

We provided the customer with a detailed diagnosis and estimate, but due to the nature of the failure and the apparent construction defect, they elected to pursue repairs through the builder.

Not every plumbing problem has a simple fix, but every customer deserves an honest assessment of their options.

Customer Provided Water Filter Faucet Replacement

Sometimes it’s not a leak under the sink or a major plumbing issue. Sometimes it’s simply a fixture that has reached the end of its life.

This customer’s water filter faucet had broken, with the top portion completely separated from the body. We replaced it with a new customer supplied faucet and got their filtered water system back in service.

When a plumbing fixture starts showing signs of wear or failure, replacing it before it causes a bigger problem is often the best solution.

Northern Tool service call this morning.

The urinal was completely backed up and would not clear with a plunger or urinal auger. After removing the fixture, we found heavy crystallized uric scale buildup restricting the drain. We ran the sewer machine through the line, cleared the blockage, and restored proper flow.

This is a common issue in commercial restrooms. Over time, minerals and uric acid can build up inside the drain and eventually create a complete stoppage that a standard auger won’t reach.

Another commercial plumbing issue solved and back in service.
