Unhook your hoses. Seriously — that's the whole post. A hose left connected traps water in the line, it freezes, expands, and bursts the pipe inside your wall. Saw an electrical panel last month with double-tapped breakers, scorched bus bars, and a mystery wire going nowhere. The homeowner had lived there for years with no clue.
