Climate resilience has become a luxury home selling point writes Megan McCarty in a recent feature for “The Wall Street Journal’s” September 11th print edition.
In it, McCarty notes that the carefully regulated Adirondack Park offers reliable fresh water, minimal major weather events, and plenty of snow—resilient characteristics that have real pull with affluent home buyers.
“This makes the Adirondacks real estate market a destination for climate-forward luxury buyers who are looking for more than reactive or remedial amenities,” says Matt Smith, Project Manager for LandVest Adirondacks.
