With the extreme cold just about here...here are a few tips to help battle the frigid temps and prevent any major damage.

🚰 Attention Harrison Homeowners: Freezing Pipes Alert! ❄️
Over the next two days, we could experience some of the coldest weather we have had in over seven years. With temperatures dropping, it's essential to protect your home from frozen pipes. Here's what you can do:

🔧 Prevention Tips:

Keep your thermostat set to the same temperature during day and night.
Open cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate around pipes.
Let faucets drip slightly during extreme cold to prevent freezing.

🛠️ If Your Pipes Freeze:

Keep the faucet open. As you treat the frozen pipe and it begins to thaw, water will flow through.
Apply heat to the section of pipe using a hair dryer or portable space heater. Avoid open flames.
Know the location of your water shut-off valve in case of burst pipes.

FYI for all Village of Kimberly residents!

It's officially Leaf Collection season Village of Kimberly! And with that comes the return of Leaf Man in his Leaf Collection Era!

Leaf Man will begin collection in Zone 1 today and plans to canvas the entire village this week. Please note, leaf volumes aren't very heavy right now which could mean Leaf Man comes to your house sooner rather than later (just in case you were considering "to rake or not to rake"). No need to call your leaves in, Leaf Man canvases the whole village by zone.
