If you are wondering what to do with your evening, Muir fest is still happening!

Bring your kids down to Fort Southwest Point Saturday, September 9 for Muir Fest! At 2pm, TWRA will be release 2,600 lake sturgeon into Watts Bar, and they need help! Your children can help transport small sturgeon by net or hand into the water promoting sustainability for this native state-endangered fish. It's fun for the kids and good for the lake!

In addition, we'll have live music beginning at 3pm as well as food trucks, conservation talks, botany walks, kayak rides, fly fishing demonstrations & more! There's something for the whole family at Muir Fest!

We'll also have brand new merchandise available for sale as well as a chance to get your last-minute entries in to win our grand prize of a Jackson kayak courtesy of Uncle Lem's Outfitters and a weekend stay in an RV thanks to Caney Creek RV Resort and Marina.

Sounds like the perfect southern twist!

Our favorite season at The Highland Reserve and being surrounded by hundreds of acres of woodland, it's hardly any wonder as to why. Rich, beautiful colors cover the rolling landscape. Definitely the best time to come and experience this unparalelled landscape with the Smokey Mountains in the distance.

Glorious moments of why current residents love living at The Highland Reserve.

Although Tennessee experiences four distinct seasons it's rarely as harsh as living North of the Mason/Dixie line. Occasionally we'll be graced by snow creating beautiful landscapes of wintery whiteness. Again, our thanks to a local resident for the photography. Lovely to have someone living there capturing moments that most might miss.
