We activated a passive radon system at this property and immediately found that the builders pipe had a problem.

Builders are required to install passive radon mitigation system piping during construction.

Unfortunately, many times they are installed incorrectly. If a fan is installed in the future to activate the system, it may not work correctly because of the installation errors with the pre-installed piping.

On this project, we had to dig out the builders pipe and correct the issues at slab level. Once we made our adjustments, we got the air flow that was necessary to reduce indoor radon levels.

The buyer of this home called two days ago needed a radon mitigation system installed. The problem is that he wanted it done quickly so he could get test results back in 4 days. So we made it happen!

We got everything installed and have started the follow up testing. We will be back in 4 days to retrieve the monitors and verify performance.

Another radon system installation for our clients in Athens. We incorporated the suction for our system with the foundation drain. This helped us bring down the radon levels by using the drain tile around the perimeter to improve air flow.

We brought the levels down from 17 to 1.2 pCi/L. Those levels should continue to be reduced as the soil below the slab dries out.

We routed the piping through the garage and out the rear exterior wall, so it would be mounted with the other mechanical equipment. Out of sight, out of mind.

We installed this radon mitigation system for our clients in Fox Den this week. We were able to keep the fan and piping tucked away behind the shrubs, so it's hidden from view. We also were able to get good suction over the entire 2000 foot basement slab by strategically placing the suction pit near the plumbing drain.
