Day 10 of building this from the ground up, and this is what a real day looks like.

Started with a rental showing here in Tennessee, helping a client take the next step. From there, it was straight to the library to organize my database, follow up with clients, and keep the pipeline moving.

In between the work, life happens, a visit with my grandfather (who somehow ended up with a fire truck), time spent in the countryside with a good friend, and quiet moments looking out over the East Tennessee mountains that remind you why people are moving here in the first place.

Closed the night working out of Burger King, answering calls, following up, and staying consistent even when the day winds down.

A lot of conversations never make it on camera. The real work is in the relationships, the follow-ups, and the time invested when no one’s watching.

That’s what building a real estate business actually looks like, not perfect, not scripted, just steady progress.

Day 8 as a solo agent, and this is where things get interesting.

Today I walked through an off-market, for-sale-by-owner property here in Tennessee. Opportunities like this are always worth studying, not because every deal is perfect, but because every property teaches you something about value, condition, and potential.

Day 5: Behind the camera 📸

Out filming at Bald River Falls with my sister running the camera (and keeping me in check the whole time). Between the wind, the water, and me trying to talk over it…

She is my CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) for Herrera Real Estate Solutions. She occasionally asks me if I’m having a good day, and instead of answering like a normal person I’m listing off everything I need to get done so I don’t forget later. Calls, appointments, follow-ups… real life in the middle of trying to film something “professional.”

That’s the part people don’t see the family behind it, the support, the patience, the moments that don’t go as planned but end up being the memories that mean the most.

Somewhere in between all of that, it hit me again why we came to Tennessee in the first place, opportunity, a better life, and the chance to build something together. Even if I lose my voice halfway through trying to explain it 😂

Wrapped the day at E.G. Fisher Public Library getting everything lined up for tomorrow.

Real estate, family, and a little bit of chaos in between, that’s the journey.
