Sometimes God doesn’t have to shout to remind you who’s in control.

Today, I found a visitor I never expected, a crane standing quietly in the creek near my home.

Something about watching that beautiful creature move through the water, completely undisturbed, stopped me in my tracks.

And it reminded me:

This world is His.
My life is His.
My future is His.
My destiny is His.

There are seasons when you can’t see the way forward.

Bills pile up.
Doors close.
People leave.
Dreams feel impossibly far away.
You work and work and still wonder if any of it is going to matter.

I’ve had those moments.

But maybe faith isn’t about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Maybe faith is knowing God is walking with you through the darkness.

That little visitor in my creek didn’t change my circumstances.

It changed my perspective.

I don’t know what tomorrow holds. I don’t know how every chapter of my story will unfold. But I know where my faith rests.

God is great.

And when I remember that, I remember that I don’t have to control everything.

I just have to keep walking.

Keep believing.

Keep working.

Keep my eyes forward.

Because if God planted the dream in my heart, I’ll trust Him with the path that leads me there.

My life is not an accident.
My purpose is not an accident.
And neither is the road I’m walking.

Sometimes the greatest reminders come quietly.

Can one message really change your future?

For the Martin family… it did.

Like so many families across East Tennessee, they knew renting wasn’t the future they wanted. They had until the end of the year to find a home, but they weren’t sure where to start, or who they could trust.

Sometimes the right home finds you before you’re ready… and that’s exactly what happened here.

The Martins thought they had until the end of the year before making their move.

Like many families, life took an unexpected turn, and renting was no longer the path they wanted for their future. Together, we began exploring homes across East Tennessee, knowing we’d make a move only when the right opportunity came along.

Then… we found the one.

After careful negotiations, we secured this incredible home for 10.4% below the asking price, not including having all of my clients’ closing costs paid by the seller.

In today’s market, many transactions only end up negotiating between 2-4% off the home price. This was a tremendous outcome for a hardworking family. But the greatest victory wasn’t the numbers.

It was watching three teenagers walk into a place they can finally call home.

Moments like these remind me of what my family and I struggled through when we didn’t own a home and when we couldn’t find even the right rental and had to force ourselves to settle in homes that weren’t always quite right. Real estate has never been about opening doors.

It’s about helping families build stability, create memories, and begin their next chapter with confidence.
