Nothing beats touring a home you manage with a prospect whose first words when they walk in are "I LOVE IT, THIS IS PERFECT!"

👋 Hi, I'm Summer, founder of Cottrell & Key.
For more than 15 years, I've worked in multifamily, single-family, commercial real estate, and land management. I've spent my career helping people protect their investments, solve problems, and navigate the countless details that come with property ownership.
I've also spent more than 30 years in customer service, which taught me that while expertise matters, trust matters even more.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to support real estate investors, homeowners, and some incredibly creative entrepreneurs. Whether it was helping manage investment portfolios, supporting growing businesses, or coordinating the day-to-day details that keep things running smoothly, I've always loved being the person people can count on.
I started Cottrell & Key because I believe property ownership should be enjoyable—not another full-time job.
My clients are often busy professionals, investors, travelers, and homeowners who value their time and want the confidence of knowing someone they trust is looking after their property. From seasonal maintenance and vendor coordination to routine property oversight, we handle the details so our clients can focus on what matters most.
Most importantly, I put God first in my journey. I am blessed to be married to the love of my life for 20 years, the proud mom of two fantastic young men, ages 25 and 22, and recently gained a beautiful daughter-in-law. Our home is also ruled by a dog and cat who generously allow us to live with them.
As a Type 1 Diabetes advocate, I've learned that life is precious, time is valuable, and peace of mind matters.
And after 15 years in real estate, I've learned two universal truths: water heaters fail at the worst possible time, and nobody changes their HVAC filter as often as they think they do. 😄
