What an amazing day and closing! I want to share this story with you, as it really resonated with me. Little over a year ago, I had the opportunity of meeting this guy that was here doing a service call at my house. We started discussing real estate, how long that I've been in industry, what he could do to prepare, and really coached him that age is just a number and with some work; he could become a home owner sooner than he realized. Fast forward a year later, I get a call from a number that I didn't recognize. Then he went into the story of what all we talked about a year ago. He really went ahead and did all of the leg work, had money saved up, and had been working with a local lender. Proud of him, that's an understatement. A few months of searching, a couple of rejected offers, and today we closed on his 1st home. At 21 years old! That's amazing! ❄️Here’s some great advice
to help us all stay safe over the next few days!🧣🏠

With temps near 30 below and dangerous wind chills, even well-built homes may struggle to keep up. This doesn’t always mean something is broken.

👉 Tips to protect your home:

✅ Turn your thermostat up 2–4° before the cold hits
✅ Turn off “setback” mode — keep temps steady
✅ Change dirty furnace filters
✅ Keep garage doors closed 🚪
✅ Limit opening exterior doors
✅ Keep vents & radiators clear
✅ Clear snow/ice from furnace vents ❄️

If your system is running but the house cools slowly — don’t panic. In extreme cold, this is normal.

🚫 Never use ovens or grills for heat — carbon monoxide danger!

📞 Call a pro if you notice burning smells, buzzing, flickering lights, repeated breaker trips, or loss of heat.

❗ Extreme cold doesn’t cause problems — it reveals them.

💙 And please check on elderly neighbors or anyone who may need help.
