🧱 There’s just something about a brick ranch...

Maybe it’s the classic Southeast Michigan charm. Maybe it’s having everything on one level. Maybe it’s the basement, the backyard, or knowing brick never really goes out of style.

Whatever the reason, brick ranches continue to be a favorite around here — so naturally, they had to get their own Five for Friday.

This week I found:

A little impromptu weekend getaway to visit Grandma & Grandpa turned into ice cream walks along the pier, bonfire nights, freezing our feet off at Iargo Springs, getting our steps (and then some 😅) at Lumberman’s Monument, plenty of beach walks, and blueberry picking at Tawas Blueberry Farm. 🫐

The blueberries were great. The blueberry doughnuts may have been even better. 🍩

Nick even taught us how to whistle with an acorn - I'm sure the neighbors weren't sad to see us leave. 😂

We also somehow came home with a slightly larger souvenir than expected… 👀

Now to turn some of those blueberries into a pie. 🫐🥧 Stay tuned.

Last week, Five for Friday was all about waterfront homes under $350K.

Then my sister very clearly informed me that she would choose more land over Lake Erie... and judging by the comments, quite a few of you are on her side. 😂

So, Team Land — this one's for you.

This week's Five for Friday features:

And there's actually a pretty fun mix this week — from a remodeled home on 5 acres to properties with ponds, pole barns, room for horses... and one with a whopping 53 ACRES. 👀

Some days the GPS deserves a raise. 😂

After bouncing between Ann Arbor and Canton for client appointments, I finally found time and stopped at Voodoo Brewing Co for a late lunch.

Huge thanks to Ashley for the recommendation—the nachos did not disappoint! Great food, excellent service, and just enough fuel to finish the rest of the day’s adventures.

Bonus points for the soundtrack—School of Rock is right next door, so I got to enjoy hearing the students practicing while I ate. Almost like having live music with lunch. 🎸

If you’re in Canton and wondering where to eat… this one’s worth the stop. 🌮🍻

Can't wait to come back and try the beef tallow fried wings! 🐔🍗
