Wednesday felt a little surreal.

The little boy I watched grow up - who somehow turned into a grown man right before my eyes - say next to his partner and bought their very first home. 🏡✨

It’s not often that Realtors step outside their own market. There are a lot of reasons why we usually don’t.

But this one? I just couldn’t let it go.

I wanted to be there for every step. I wanted to walk them carefully through contracts, inspections, questions, nerves, and finally… keys. Even if that meant driving back and forth to Atlanta more times than I can count.

Every mile was worth it.

There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone unlock the door to their very first home - no matter their age. These two may be grown, but they’ll always be “babies” in my heart.

And if I’m being honest… the extra time spent with his mama wasn’t so bad either. 😉 (Perks of the job when your client’s mom is your best friend.)

Full circle moments like this are why I do what I do. 🤍

Last Friday I closed on a home that had been on the market for 183 days!

It wasn’t the fastest. And it certainly wasn’t the easiest.

Sometimes real estate is more than contracts and closing dates. Sometimes it involves big life changes, hard conversations, and emotional chapters coming to an end.

Not every house sells quickly.
Not every negotiation is simple.
Not every season is easy.

But the goal is always the same - forward progress towards new beginnings.

I’m reminded that part of my job isn’t just marketing a home. It’s walking with people through transitions. Staying steady when things feel uncertain. Keeping everyone focused on the finish line, even when the road there feels long.

And last Friday, we made it.
