The Kalbi Ribs were the best!!!

Bill Azeka opened this Azeka Place in June of 1961. (The original was across Kalama Park) Anyone that lived on Maui through the '60s and '70s knew about Azeka's, the monkey cage, the Shave Ice, the butcher shop, the plate lunches, the kalbi. And just the real aloha and kindness that the Azeka 'ohana offered to everyone. His was the closest free water to Makena, he told me "Hippies are people, too. Everybody needs water"
