The Hokulea is here on Maui this week. Maui residents and visitors can enjoy dockside canoe tours during the following dates:

Oct. 14 to Oct. 18 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Oct. 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Oct. 21 to Oct. 23 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to scheduled school visits, the crew will also host a presentation at the Maui Ocean Center on Oct. 18 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The visit is part of the Pae ʻĀina sail around the Hawaiian Islands to share “cultural and educational experiences and exchanges focused on mālama honua (caring for our island Earth).”

Crews from the Polynesian Voyaging Society’s Pae ʻĀina Statewide Sail have been sharing the history and mission of Hōkūleʻa to residents and visitors of Lānaʻi.
