Some projects for this weekend so far. This ash tree was on its way out and hanging over a home. We brought down the portions that were threatening the dwelling and the customer will finish removing the bottom portion and the cleanup
We dug the hole for the basement steps last Sunday. The step company completed the install mid week and we returned today to button things up. The storms this week pushed things back a bit. Both parties made the decision to wait until today to avoid the complications of dealing with mud.

It’s pretty common for customers to ask for a price to split the wood from the trees after clean up. The truth is that it isn’t cost effective for either party really. We hooked this customer up with a splitter and he informed us that he only needed it for a few hrs. Two days later, he called that he was done. This pile of firewood is from a single tree. It is very easy to underestimate the amount of wood and time involved with these projects. Hopefully this gives it a proper perspective to those that aren’t familiar with the firewood world.

The world looks a bunch different from a higher vantage point. Check out this utility pole. I’m sure it was repaired during a storm event and forgot about but that ole girl is not long for the world. We removed some dead trees today to prevent issue with the power in future storms. It’s a great step in the right direction but I fear this may still be an issue.

Trailer number two for today. This one received all new brake components. If you know anything about livestock trailers, it’s always a struggle. Added a proper break away switch and battery box. We also repaired the wiring that was melted when some one welded the roof supports back together. I need to finish wiring in the license plate light and the upper light bar. Then this trailer can also head home.

Put some work into this little gem. I def have an appreciation of how handy this ford is. We rebuilt the hydraulic control valve. Replaced all the lines for the plow. Drilled and tapped the manifold for a new muffler. Replaced the key switch and repaired the wiring so the unit would charge. We also added a rain cap to prevent further exhaust rot. Upon return, the mower was installed and tested( mostly because I wanted to drive it lol)

Hopefully all these “showers” we have been having will bring some pretty flowers to these new planters. We also added some privacy sides to the existing decks. Topped off the boxes with topsoil and leveled off some depressions in the yard.
