Although this is not the actual picture from last night it has the same meaning. Our baby had a very small procedure done to alleviate some minor, but potential long term issues down the road and she had some discomfort that lead to her not wanting to sleep in her bed but would rather sleep on Angel and I.
It was roughly 3:30a and I took my shift and decided to take the baby in the living room to Allow Angel to get better uninterrupted sleep. As I finished feeding the her.., our little guy made his way down stairs for his nightly “ jump out of his bed and head downstairs for dad to bring me back to my room”. I decided to just have him lay in our bed and I decided to just take them both out to the couch to sleep. As I’m sitting there holding Caylee and Carter is sleep across my lap.., I just couldn’t help but be thankful to GOD for blessing me with being their father. It’s nothing I wouldn’t do for them and their daily reminders of “why” we do the things needed in order to make the things “required” to happen and come to light. There’s no playbook for this and I will make mistakes but I will always be the father that “they” need me to be.
