I grew up in Orange City and have proudly called DeBary home for over a decade. When I’m not helping clients find their perfect home, you’ll find me with my husband Caleb (an electrician by trade!), our sweet dog, and our loved ones — usually outdoors or planning our next travel adventure. My background as a probate and real estate paralegal helps me guide clients with care, attention to detail, and heart. After the loss of our daughter, Aleah, I see life through a different lens. She reminded me how precious each day truly is — and that tomorrow isn’t promised. My broker actually encouraged me to make this video because sometimes what happens behind the scenes in a real estate transaction is just as important as what you see.

In this case, a pending divorce had to be finalized in time for my buyer to close on their home. It took staying on top of deadlines, advocating, communicating with everyone involved, and knowing what questions to ask to help keep things moving.

My legal background definitely comes in handy in real estate, especially when a transaction isn't exactly straightforward.

Sometimes being a great Realtor means doing a whole lot more than opening doors and writing contracts.

I was sitting in my eighth-grade reading class when everything stopped. The lesson stopped. The TV came on. And an entire classroom of kids stood still as we watched our country being attacked.

I was young, but I can still remember the feeling in that room. The confusion. The fear. The silence. It is one of those moments in life where you never forget where you were.

Years later, I had the opportunity to visit New York City with my daughter and stand at the 9/11 Memorial. To teach her about this day that she wasn't alive for, and take this picture.

I don't think I was prepared for how it would feel to actually stand there, it's an emotional experience. There was an eeriness and a heaviness that is difficult to put into words.

You've seen the footage and heard the stories your entire life. But standing in that exact place, seeing the names, and realizing how many ordinary people left home that morning expecting an ordinary day made it feel incredibly real.

25 years later, I still remember that eighth-grade classroom. I still remember watching the world change in real time.

Today, I remember the lives that were lost, the families whose lives changed forever, and the first responders and ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage that day.

September 11, 2001. We will never forget.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is being out in the community, meeting people, building relationships, and connecting families with resources that can help them through different seasons of life.

It's always nice to bring my old skill set and world into my real estate business as well, because they all serve each other and every service is needed.

On October 10, I’ll be at the Aging Well Health Fair at Seven Oaks Park in Winter Park from 9 AM to 1 PM. I’ll be there representing myself as your local Realtor and Costa Realty Partners, LLC, and I’m really looking forward to spending the day connecting with the community.

There will be local professionals and helpful resources focused on aging well, planning ahead, and staying connected to the community.

And of course, I’ll have a fun giveaway at my table too. 😊 Come by and say hi, even if there are no moves in your near future!
