Growing up partly in California, Emily was her grandfather’s little helper in his successful chain of sporting goods stores while receiving a crash course in business 101. After graduating from high school in Lake Oswego, Oregon, she began her first commission-based job at Nordstrom, selling women’s shoes and getting a graduate-level education in sales and customer service as she established herself in the top 10% of salespeople there. Skyrocketing to success became the norm for Emily, whose subsequent careers included managing a chain of local tanning salons that quickly rose to No. 1 in sales out of 200 franchise stores nationwide, launching radio ad campaigns for local businesses, and B2B sales at Wells Fargo. When Emily was ready for a more permanent change in her career, she took her husband’s advice and earned the real estate license she always wanted. In character, Emily completed her studies in three weeks and was licensed the following week in January 2016. Over the next four years, she doubled her volume and transaction count annually and worked her way up from the top 40 to the top 10 agents at her previous brokerage. But even that wasn’t enough for Emily, who jumped rankings from No. 78 in 2021 to No. 22 in 2022 out of nearly 14,000 agents in the Portland metro area. She launched Hustle & Heart Homes in 2022, where she continues to infuse her dogged nature with spirited energy and raw compassion. Her clients’ well-being surmounts all else. In her spare time, you can find Emily traveling with her husband, Christian, and their two sons, Ben and Ethan.
