Spent today inside a real estate room where deals like this get built: $1K to control a $230K property, a credit sponsor structure, and one guy who’ll inherit a homeless man with a house attached to him 😂 This is the kind of creative deal-making you don’t learn from a textbook.

I named my first AI agent Jared.

If you’ve watched Silicon Valley, you know Jared. Anxious, eager to please, competent in ways nobody fully understands. He’s the guy you give a task to and he just… handles it.

That felt right for a first agent.

He’s sandboxed pretty tight right now. Can’t do much damage. But the plan is to slowly loosen the leash as I figure out what he’s actually capable of.

Here’s the thing nobody talks about when they start building with AI: the first version isn’t supposed to be impressive. It’s supposed to be safe enough to learn from.

Jared is my sandbox. Every mistake he makes is a lesson I collect before the stakes get real.

For a long time my goal was just “I want out.”

Out of the W-2. Out of the 12-hour shifts. Out of wondering if this is as good as it gets.

Felt inspiring to say. But every time I sat down to figure out what “out” actually meant, I had nothing to work with. Just a feeling and a lot of open space.

I started running The ONE Thing as my operating system. Every morning, one question: what’s the one thing I can do today that makes everything else easier or unnecessary? How else can I to even attempt to reclaim a decade gone?

Right now my answer is building toward my next property acquisition. That’s it. One specific thing I can act on before my next shift even starts.
