Jeff Roediger is a retired St. Louis County Police Officer/Detective of 34 years. For the majority of his career (21 years), he was detached to the St. Louis FBI office as a task force member, investigating human/sex trafficking, domestic and international terrorism, organized crime, and drug-related investigations.

Jeff attended Southeast Missouri State University and the Greater St. Louis Police Academy. He has had numerous hours of law enforcement training throughout the United States provided by both state and federal agencies. Jeff has also held an insurance broker’s license with the State of Missouri since 2004 for both property and casualty and life and health.

Brenda, Jeff’s wife, has been a project manager/troubleshooter for a global company based in New Jersey for 35 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in business from William Woods University in Missouri.

Upon retirement and moving to the Lake of the Ozarks area, Jeff and Brenda observed hundreds—if not thousands—of second homes on or around the lake that are only occupied by their owners for maybe four to eight weekends a year. These homes, primarily multi-million-dollar structures, and yachts remain dormant for the better part of the year; therefore, they saw a need for Home Watch service. They want to give their clients peace of mind, knowing that their investments are being looked after in their absence in a professional and timely manner.

In their spare time, Jeff and Brenda enjoy spending time with family. They have five children and five grandchildren and attend their grandchildren’s sporting events. They also enjoy boating on the Lake of the Ozarks.

Since COVID or the past three years, squatting has become more and more prevalent throughout the United States and our Lake of the Ozark area is no exception. As you may have noticed (as I have) driving through our lake community an increase of new workers and homeless (for whatever reason). With this influx of persons, as in any city, it can put a strain on area government resources of which are expected to be there for our residents in need.

It was because of this situation, Brenda and I started “Lake Home Neighbor," which is a "Home Watch Company" we are members of the National Home Watch Association. Our services provide physical home or condo inspections for any criminal activity that may have occurred or is occurring on your property in your absence and report it in a timely manner, to rectify the issue.

In addition, our services provide a complete walkthrough of your residence and surrounding grounds, looking for obvious issues of rodent damage, leaking pipes, heating and cooling issues, downed trees, low water levels in pools/hot tubs, boat lifts and boats, just to name a few. Our clients will receive a report and photos of our findings on each of our visits.
