One needs to be aware the data points are nationally collected statistics. The takeaways are; Single family homes are owned by owners at 83% ratio with the balance of 27% being taken up by investors, you are much more likely to own a home with a bachelor’s degree 43% than with no degree at 30%, and 62% of people who own a home are ages 34 to 55.

Some Marin specific numbers
Larkspur Median home price 2 million, 71% of residence have a bachelors degree and the median income is $200,000. Novato Median home price is $1,435,000, 62% of residence have a bachelors degree and the median income is $165,000. Fairfax Median home price $1,035,000, 63% of residence have a bachelors degree and the median income is $120,000. San Anselmo Median home price $1,572,000, 71% of residence have a bachelors degree and the median income is $167,000.
