Alex Cowley was born in Africa, raised in Belgium, Puerto Rico - where she learned Spanish, and in Manhattan and has called the Bay Area home for 27 years. She has served as a former advertising executive for Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand Goop, and for Vogue, Cooking Light, and Real Simple. Alex is committed to leveraging her expertise from the business world to provide her clients with strong
negotiating skills, market insights, marketing expertise, and a keen sense of design and aesthetics. Wherever Alex settled, she truly valued the comfort and serenity of her home, compelling her to make the transition into real estate after 28 years in the advertising and marketing industry. As a realtor, she customizes opportunities for her clients to buy or sell their most valuable assets and meets the unique and comprehensive needs of every individual. Real estate representation in today’s market requires expertise, honesty, loyalty, accountability, and creativity - all of which Alex brings to her work with her clients. In addition to living in San Anselmo for 25 years and raising her twins there, Alex remains very active locally. She is the 2019 Gala Chair of the Ross Valley Women’s League, which supports Adopt-A-Family of Marin, and a board member of Pencils For Kids, a non-profit organization that provides classroom supplies, programs, libraries, and schools to communities in need. She builds a sense of community by forming bonds with the people and places around her. She enjoys Marin County’s nature, music, food, and wine events, and going to farmer’s markets with her family. Alex and her husband, Mark, enjoy hiking with their golden retriever, Maximus, and charcoal lab, Augie, playing golf or pickleball, and going to the Corinthian Yacht Club where she is on the membership engagement committee.
