Summerlin who?
The best neighborhood in Las Vegas is Canyon Gate, according to a new study from real estate platform Houzeo.
The guard-gated golf community in west Las Vegas (median price $693,000) beat out 22 other Vegas neighborhoods with a composite score of 89.1 out of 100.
Houzeo cited the gated setting, low crime rate, good schools, and stable housing inventory as the reasons it came out on top.
The company pulled data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and cost-of-living benchmarks to build the rankings.
Summerlin came in a distant second.
The master-planned community near Red Rock Canyon (median home price of $635,000) has long been considered the valley's gold standard.
The rest of the top seven: Arts District ($630,000), Peccole Ranch ($487,000), Providence ($439,000), The Lakes ($625,000), and Desert Shores ($440,000).
