A lifelong fascination with architecture and construction inspired Emanuele to build a career centered on thoughtful design and lasting community impact. Through projects including schools, libraries, churches, training centers, and community spaces, he has helped create places where people learn, gather, and connect.

Although he has been a member for less than a year, Emanuele has already embraced the opportunities to build relationships, learn from industry peers, and contribute through the Membership Committee.

New name. Same organization. Bigger story.

It's been two months since we changed our name, and if you're still getting used to saying CREDA Southern Nevada instead of NAIOP Southern Nevada, you're not alone. After decades under the NAIOP name, a change this significant takes a little getting used to.

But the evolution didn't happen overnight.

What began in 1967 as the National Association of Industrial Parks grew alongside the commercial real estate industry itself. Over the decades, the organization expanded well beyond its original industrial and office roots, bringing together professionals across the full spectrum of commercial real estate development.

On July 1, that evolution took its next step.

NAIOP became CREDA: the Commercial Real Estate Development Association.

The new name more clearly reflects who our members are today, the breadth of the industry we represent, and the role we play in advocating for the issues that impact commercial real estate and development.

What hasn't changed?

The relationships.
The advocacy.
The education.
The industry leadership.
And the community we've built together.

So yes, you'll probably still hear “NAIOP” around Southern Nevada for a while. We have a lot of history attached to those five letters.

But we're proud of where we've been, and even more excited about where we're going.

NAIOP Southern Nevada is now CREDA Southern Nevada.

Built on legacy. Designed for what's next.

40 years of deals, developments, relationships and memories. And this is only the beginning. 🥂

As we count down to CREDA Southern Nevada’s 40th Anniversary Mixer, we’re looking back at the people and moments that helped shape our first two decades.

From 1986 to 2006, our organization grew alongside Southern Nevada, bringing together the commercial real estate professionals who were helping build a rapidly changing community.

Some faces may look familiar. Some hairstyles may deserve another look. And a few of these photos might bring back stories we hope you’ll share with us next week. 😉

If you’ve attended a CREDA program, served on a committee, opened one of our emails, joined us for an advocacy effort, or simply wondered who keeps all of these moving pieces moving, chances are Jamie had something to do with it.

Her leadership, dedication and deep commitment to Southern Nevada’s commercial real estate community help keep CREDA connected, informed and moving forward.

Today, we’re turning the spotlight on the person who spends so much of her time shining it on everyone else.

What happens when innovation takes root in Nevada? It needs somewhere to grow.

Through Roseman Bio Ventures, a Nevada-born biotechnology company was able to stay in Nevada. And as that company grows, its needs will grow with it, including the manufacturing space that Southern Nevada’s commercial real estate community will help bring to life.

That’s the intersection CREDA is focused on: innovation, economic development and the built environment working together to shape what comes next for Southern Nevada.

This conversation was just one part of our July Breakfast Program exploring healthcare, biotechnology, campus investment and their growing role in our regional economy.

The mall isn’t dead. It evolved. 🛍️

For years, the rise of e-commerce fueled predictions about the death of the traditional shopping mall. But a different story is unfolding in Las Vegas and across the country, and younger consumers are helping drive it.

Research cited by the Las Vegas Review-Journal found that shoppers ages 18–24 made 62% of their general merchandise purchases in physical stores last year.

Why? Because today's successful retail centers are offering something a website can't deliver: experience, community and connection.

Dining. Entertainment. Fitness. Events. Services. Social experiences. Even new uses for former department store and big-box spaces.

Here in Southern Nevada, that evolution is already visible.

Former anchor spaces at properties like Boulevard Mall and Meadows Mall have been adapted for new uses, while destinations like Downtown Summerlin demonstrate how the right mix of retail, dining, entertainment, community programming and nearby residential development can create places people want to spend time, not simply places they go to shop.

As CREDA Southern Nevada President Steve Neiger told the Review-Journal, “There are some things that the internet is never going to be able to replicate.”

And CREDA Southern Nevada Board Member Deana Marcello, EVP of Retail Services at Colliers, points to another important shift: Las Vegas itself has evolved from a tertiary retail market into a primary target for retail expansion and investment.

For commercial real estate, the takeaway is bigger than a mall comeback.

The future of retail isn't just about shopping. It's about creating destinations that give people a reason to show up, stay awhile and come back.

That's not the return of the traditional mall.

It's the evolution of it.
