During a recent Home Watcher LV inspection, we heard a smoke detector beeping. While changing the battery, we checked the detector and discovered it was dated 2009.

😳 That smoke detector is about 17 years old—roughly 7 YEARS beyond the typical 10-year replacement recommendation.

More Water Damage Found During a Home Watch Inspection

During a previous Home Watch inspection, we discovered water damage at one of our customer’s homes and reported it so restoration could begin.

Unfortunately, the restoration process later stalled.

Our customer asked us to return to the property and check on the progress. During our re-inspection, we discovered additional water damage.

This is exactly why regular Home Watch inspections are so important—especially when a home is vacant and already undergoing repairs.

When restoration is delayed, problems don’t necessarily wait. What starts as one issue can quickly turn into additional damage and a much more expensive repair.

🚨 TWO HOMES. TWO BROKEN A/C UNITS. ONE DAY. 🚨

While performing scheduled inspections, Home Watcher LV discovered a failed A/C unit at TWO different customer homes — on the same day.

At one of the homes, the inside temperature was almost 100 degrees! 🥵
