Win some, loss some… this is the story of Real Estate in general. The long battle of rezoning with City Planning.

Back in May I negotiated this for my buyer in hopes to have a reasonable timeline for having this property rezoned for highest and best use case for what my client needed for his business. Unfortunately after months of due diligence, talks with city planning, having politicians involved, going to City Hall to get approvals, we couldn’t get the rezoning approved.

4 months later we have officially canceled escrow on this office building, until time being but still have hopes for plan B. This isn’t a failure but this just shows we don’t close every deal and I’m showing the Realty of what we as Realtors go through.

The realty is in Commercial Real Estate, this is part of the game. Waiting months at a time in hopes to close but in the end, we had to accept the decision. With that being said, I learned a ton from this experienced. Gained some new friends and connections and gained a lot of knowledge. Conscious optimism set it but on to the next…
