Some houses are more than just four walls and a roof—they hold stories, memories, and the foundation of something bigger. Today, I’m incredibly grateful to share that we’ve purchased a house that means the world to me.
This isn’t just any property. It’s the home where my dad was born. It was also the very first rental my grandparents owned together—the start of what would become their rental business. Though my grandfather passed when I was young, the legacy he and my grandmother built has always been an inspiration to me. Their dedication to providing homes for others is what first sparked my own passion for real estate.
What makes this home even more special is that the same tenants lived there for 50 years. They didn’t just rent the house—they made it their home. They raised their family within those walls, creating a lifetime of memories in a place my grandparents provided. That kind of longevity speaks volumes about the kind of landlords my grandparents were and the true meaning of home.
Now, all these years later, this home has come full circle. We’re keeping it in the family and continuing its legacy as a rental, just as my grandparents once did. It’s an honor to take what they started and build upon it, providing a home for someone else while preserving a place that holds so much history for us.
This one will always hold a special place in my heart. Here’s to carrying on a legacy, honoring where it all began, and making new memories in a home that has meant so much to my family.
Thank you, Grandma Nellie, for letting us buy this one. ❤
