Happy 50th Birthday to Liberty State Park! 🎉 This park is truly the crown jewel of Jersey City, with a fascinating history. Once a bustling rail terminal for the Central Railroad of New Jersey, it fell into decline and became a dumping ground. But thanks to visionary efforts, it was transformed into the beautiful green space we cherish today, offering stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and Manhattan, a bird sanctuary, miles of biking and walking trails, just to mention a few.

I’ve spent countless cherished days riding and exploring its trails, where my husband and I first fell in love during those pre-restaurant shift bike rides. Now, I get to share this gem with my daughter too. We bike together, play at the playground, watch the birds at the sanctuary, fly kites, toss the lacrosse ball, and sledding and seal watching in the winter.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about the plans to enhance the park’s natural habitats and expand recreational facilities. A heartfelt thank you to my friend and dedicated advocate for Liberty State Park, Sam Pesin Your passion ensures this beautiful space remains open and free for all to enjoy. ✨ Just before the pandemic hit, I took a leap and got my real estate license. 🌍 I was in beautiful Italy for my darling friend's wedding, chatting with Elizabeth about my career uncertainty.
