Job Title: W**d Whipper
Location: Linden, MI
Job Type: Full-time/Seasonal
Pay: Hourly based on experience
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking W**d Whipper (String Trimmer) Operator to join our lawn maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean and well-manicured lawns and landscapes by trimming grass and w**ds along edges, fences, trees, and other hard-to-reach areas using a w**d whip. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a string trimmer (w**d whipper) to trim grass and w**ds around sidewalks, driveways, flower beds, trees, fences, and other landscape features.
- Assist with other landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, blowing, and debris cleanup.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work independently or with a team to complete daily maintenance routes on schedule.
- Report any issues, hazards, or damages noticed on properties to the crew leader or supervisor.
Requirements:
- Experience using string trimmers or other lawn maintenance equipment preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to walk, bend, lift, and stand for long periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site or shop.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work early mornings and occasional weekends if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience in residential or commercial landscaping.
