Another project wrapped up for a great return customer! She takes a lot of pride in keeping her woods clean, healthy, and beautiful, and brought A Notch Above Land Services LLC back out to help maintain them.

Today we mulched deadfall throughout the woods, cleaned up overgrown areas, and opened up the property to improve both appearance and access. We also trimmed trees away from the house and along the driveway to let in more light and create a cleaner, more inviting entrance.

One of the trickiest parts of the project was mulching the front yard while preserving as many ferns as possible. This is where the Kubota SCL1000 really shines—its compact size allows us to work in tight spaces with precision while minimizing disturbance to desirable vegetation.

From overgrown and unusable… to clean, open, and manageable 🌲💪

This customer wanted their yard edge reclaimed and opened back up around the barn and property lines. We pushed the edge back roughly 6–10 feet, mulched everything onsite, and treated the area to help slow future regrowth.

The Rut Termite handled the heavy reclaim work fast, then the drum mulcher came in behind it to clean things up and leave a smoother finish around the barn and visible areas.

No hauling brush piles. No giant mess left behind. Just usable property brought back to life.

How does it handle light brush and grasses?

Here’s some real seat time — not just a big wood tool. Once you get the feel for it, it moves through this stuff quick and efficient.

Definitely a different style than a drum, but it flat out covers ground.

One thing about the 36” Termite… it will THROW debris.

Ran it on a birch brush pile today and you can see the power it’s putting down.

Disc mulchers are fast and efficient, but they demand respect — positioning and awareness matter big time.

Still learning it, but I’m liking what I see so far.

Gets out of hand quicker than you think.

Spring cleanup knocked out for a property owner 👇

Winter left its mark — limbs down, brush piled up, and the whole area getting cluttered.

Came in, opened it up, and got it cleaned back up and usable again.
