This just in!
The National Association of Realtors (NAR) just blogged about a trend gaining more traction called ‘Double Drenching’, a phrase coined by Little Greene in the U.K. and an idea other paint makers have used to promote their color palettes. The gist is “…fully enveloping a room in coordinated shades rather than leaving any surface white or neutral.”. Drenching a room would simply be using one color on everything including walls and trim. A monochromatic room.
There’s no mention of this being a good, or bad, idea for staging your home when you’re getting ready to sell but we’ve long been told to stage in neutral colors. Would you double drench your rooms before putting your house up for sale? Let us know your thoughts.
