The family’s out camping this week, so it’s just me, a quiet house, and entirely too much screen time.
Most normal people would probably enjoy the peace and call it an early night. Instead, it’s after dark and I’m still digging through listings, researching properties, and chasing down leads for clients.
The funny thing is, this has never felt much like work to me. I genuinely enjoy the hunt. I like finding opportunities other people miss. I like connecting the dots. And I really like being the guy who calls a client and says, “I think I found it.”
I’ve got a couple closings coming up with people who need me here, so while the family is making memories around a campfire, I’m holding down the fort and doing what I do.
Tonight turned up a couple promising properties, and honestly that’s the kind of thing that keeps me up sometimes. Not stress. Not deadlines. Just the possibility that the next search might uncover exactly what someone has been looking for.
Maybe I should get a better hobby.
But after all these years, I still enjoy helping people find their place in the world.
If you’re buying, selling, or just wondering what’s out there, I’m probably awake anyway.
