One of our favorite unpacking jobs was for a veteran who served 20 years in the USAF. Upon retiring, he relocated to Longmont after attempting a deep downsize of his home in New York.

Military moves can be extremely chaotic - you aren't sure who is coming into your home, you're not always sure where your stuff is, and sometimes the movers don't show up when they said they would. We worked with him to continue downsizing and provided him with clear systems for his 'stuff.' Having a friendly, familiar face is sometimes all our veterans need to settle into their new space.
