For young people who arrive at Beth’s Place, often carrying very little of their own, receiving a new backpack can be so much more than a school supply. It gives them something that is theirs—something that helps them feel prepared, included, and ready to walk into school with confidence.

Your generosity helps make an uncertain transition a little brighter and reminds each young person that their community sees them, supports them, and believes in their future. ❤️

We had such a great time earlier this month getting the youth at Community House and Beth’s Place ready for a new school year! ❤️

"When I was asked to join the Community House board, I knew I also wanted to volunteer with the youth programs. As a retired teacher, tutoring felt like the perfect fit.

My initial focus with every student is to establish a trusting relationship and offer steady encouragement as we work together to master concepts. These children often lack family stability, and trying to make a difference for them enriches my life tremendously. If my efforts make life just a little easier for even one student, I would feel truly blessed.

🐿️ Squirrel Fest 2026! 💛

This past Saturday, a few residents from Community House on Broadway along with staff, volunteered their time at the annual Squirrel Fest in Longview put on by the awesome group at Rotary Club of Longview Washington

We had a blast giving back, making memories, enjoying the community, and celebrating Longview’s beloved squirrel mascot! 🐿️🎉💛

We can’t wait for next year! 🐿️✨
