Good morning!

Such a beautiful walk this morning through the Arlington Gardens in Pasadena.

The Pasadena walking tour was very emotional. As we walked the blocks in the intense heat where there was thriving black community that was snatched from Black families by eminent domain.
The plaques are now displayed where the newly constructed AMLI luxury apartments stand thanks to the hard work of district 3 Council-member John J Kennedy.
Viewing copies of the actual map where the “RED LINE” shows the division of neighborhoods and areas where we were not allowed to buy. Some of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods today are those that sit where black and brown communities lived.

It’s ironic when I was researching this very topic I could not find one piece of information in our main library.
The redlining map is apparently at the library of congress. 🤔

Me proud I got that first half gallon down before 2. Now if I can just get the second half down before 8 pm I just may sleep instead of spending my night running back and forth to the restroom 😤😩😓

There comes a point and time when you find a cause that often keeps you up at night. The homeless situation has gotten out of control and unless we, the people step out of our comfort zones and stop waiting for some of these sorry politicians to do the right thing, we will be screwed!
