According to the NAR there are only about 250,000 'affordable' houses on the market now as opposed to 650,000 pre-COVID!

In addition, many of these houses are bid for by all-cash buyers, making the middle-class dream of homeownership extremely difficult.

PLUS, there are now almost 500 cities where the average cost of a home is $1 million, according to Zillow!!

These conditions, in addition to rising mortgage rates are pushing people to share homes with roommates.

The projection is that more homes will enter the market due to rising mortgage rates and there will be a slow-down in the market this year compared to 2021.

However, prices are projected to keep rising through 2022, but at a more moderate pace.

This would in-part be due to the projected increase in interest rates by the Federal Reserve.
