Waiting for a Sign.
We all do it. Looking for some lightning in the sky or the shaking of the earth. But often times a sign to change direction is simply a nudge on the inside like when you feel a soft breeze change directions on your face. If you are moving around you would never notice. But if you are standing still you can notice the shift in the air. Sometimes in life our “sign” is only revealed when we stop trying to make things happen and quiet ourselves enough to feel the nudge of change. Do you feel it, Grasshopper?

Every year I expect the new year to be even better than that previous. It is human nature to be hopeful and yearn for the best life can bring. It’s also human nature to be pessimistic about the harsh realities of life and the disappointment it can bring. However, if those are my two choices, then I choose to be eternally optimistic about 2022. What will you chose Grasshopper?

If you are a buyer’s agent you know the struggle to get your client’s offer accepted in a competitive market. So it was an amazing moment when I informed this agent that we had accepted her client’s offer. Tears of joy and relief coming from her almost made me tear up. This business is full of ups and downs but it is important to remember that behind every transaction is a person trying their best and working hard. It is imports to remember our humanity even in a competitive business like real estate.
Oh, and we did receive an offer $115K above list so congrats to my clients too. 😁

Let’s talk about getting older. For years I thought of it as some kind of curse and a slow walk to the great Ponderosa in the Sky. But as I have gotten older I discovered something complete different. Getting older has been the most exciting, freeing and rewarding thing that has happened to me. Sure there are plenty of things I would like to do over again but in the end those missteps or mistakes have brought me to where I am today; older, wiser, with some trend on the tires and a couple dents in the fender, but what a road it has been so far. With the wealth of experience I have gained, the years ahead will only better than the ones that came before. I embrace the wrinkles, the grey and the fuzzy vision and have come to the conclusion that getting older is a blessing not a curse. We are all pilgrims on this journey called life and the journey (no matter where you are on it) is worth the walk.
