To all of the small businesses, non-profits, and community-based organizations that were impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires, here are some FREE legal resources available to support you in your recovery efforts (Links in Comments):

California Lawyers for the Arts: Offering a FREE Emergency Legal Clinic with One-on-One Consultation this Wednesday Feb 12th 2pm-7pm

Disaster Legal Services California: Provides comprehensive information and legal resources for wildfire survivors, including assistance with insurance, housing, and consumer protection.

Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA): In partnership with FEMA and LA County, LAFLA offers legal assistance to low-income individuals and organizations impacted by the wildfires.

Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA): Maintains a centralized listing of resources for those affected by the fires, including legal aid providers.

Neighborhood Legal Services of LA County: Offers free, legal help for individuals and families harmed by natural disasters including fires, earthquakes and floods.

Public Counsel: Offers free legal assistance, including lease and insurance policy reviews, and guidance on insurance claims.

These are NOT law firms trying to make money off your tragedy, these are legitimate organizations here to help protect your rights. Don't deal with landlords, insurance agents, mortgage providers/banks, contractors or other service vendors on your own. Utilize these free legal services for support and contact me if you need additional help rebuilding or relocating your workspace...like these legal resources, I'm here to advocate for you during this complex and difficult process.

I picked up our newest fur baby "Buster" from the Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue offices in December and my wife and I are heart broken to see the photo what's barely left of it. :( The team at ACE are absolutely amazing and dedicated to making sure the dogs they rescue are put into loving homes with responsible parents. I know there are many people and organizations out there that need your support, but if you love dogs, please consider donating to Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue.

THIS WAS OUR OFFICE, 838 las casa! ace of hearts dog rescue, the only dog rescue located in the palisades has lost its office, all supplies, and our founders home! we are devastated! We are setting up a Canine Rescue relief fund! please HELP us get supplies for our 70 dogs in our care!

I recently launched CREWS for Causes, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity to make a difference in the world while using the skills I’ve built over the years.

CREWS for Causes (which stands for Commercial Real Estate and Workplace Services) is all about helping non-profits and charitable organizations manage their real estate and workplace needs—things like office leases, project management, facility services, and overall operations. 🏢

These organizations often lack the resources for specialized, expert support, and I feel so lucky to step in and help them focus on what they do best: creating positive change in their communities.

I’ve been inspired by so many of the amazing people I’ve worked with over the years, and this feels like a way to give back and put those experiences to good use.
