Nine years married. Fourteen years together. And we are only scratching the surface.

It’s been an exciting journey being your boyfriend, then your fiancé, and now your husband. We’ve built a life together that I’m incredibly proud of, and through every chapter, you’ve remained one of the hardest-working and most ambitious people I know.

I’m constantly inspired by what you’re able to accomplish while simultaneously making me a better person. You challenge me, support me, encourage me, and help me grow in ways I probably don’t even realize.

Two properties.
One seller.
One auction strategy.
Two successful outcomes.

One of the properties was a C-2 zoned duplex and the client’s very first investment purchase years ago.

The second was a home on 2 acres with a large barn and significant redevelopment or renovation potential.

Both properties were marketed using the auction method.

One property sold before the auction deadline after the marketing campaign generated enough interest that a buyer stepped forward with terms acceptable to the seller.

The other sold through the auction process.

What I find interesting is that people often think auctions are about the bidding itself.

In reality, the auction is about creating urgency, competition, market exposure, and leverage for the seller.

In both cases, the seller maintained the upper hand throughout the transaction.

Buyers paid the commissions, there were no financing, appraisal, or inspection contingencies, and the seller was able to make decisions from a position of strength.

Different properties.
Different buyers.
Different paths to the finish line.
Same goal.

Yesterday was a fun one.

I was excited to be invited on Ashley Spillman’s real estate podcast. We discussed life, goals, real estate, clowns (somehow), and, of course, AUCTIONS.

One of my favorite parts of the conversation is moving beyond standard real estate and market-cycle discussions. There’s already PLENTY of that out there. What actually makes this industry interesting is the human side.

The best agents, investors, entrepreneurs, and operators usually have far more to offer than just transactional guidance. Psychology, lifestyle, relationships, creativity, risk tolerance, energy, design, business strategy — so many paths converge and overlap in this industry. Real estate is often just the meeting point.

And when people genuinely enjoy what they do, it changes the entire experience. Transactions become collaborative, relationships become stronger, and business becomes a lot more enjoyable. That’s why relationships matter so much in this business.

Ashley’s gift to me was “The 5 Types of Wealth”, which I’m excited to read (in the tub, of course). I just finished “The Psychology of Money” and HIGHLY recommend it. It’s one of those books that quietly changes the way you think about success, risk, lifestyle, and decision-making.

Well… we’re doing it again.

And yes — we bought this one at auction!! Still one of the best ways for unique assets like this to trade, in my opinion. Real competition, transparent market value… there’s nothing quite like it.

Still riding high from the success of Roanoke Ave, Reimagined Homes is officially getting ready to start Project #2 — this time in Shelby Park.

Twelve years ago, a 30-second shower self-exam saved my life.

It’s Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, so naturally I asked a home inspector for a VERY thorough inspection 😂. We made a funny video, but the message is serious: guys, check your balls. I’m a testicular cancer survivor – 12 years now – and I caught mine in the shower doing a quick self-exam, which is exactly how a lot of guys first notice something’s off.

A 30-second self-check in the shower once a month can help you catch changes early, when treatment is SO much easier, and outcomes way better. Watch the video, have a laugh (please laugh), then do a self-check.

If I hadn’t done that self-exam in the shower, there’s no telling what would have happened.
