Congratulations to Catherine Martin, MAI, on earning the MAI designation! 🎉

Catherine began her appraisal career in 2017 and holds a B.A. from St. Olaf College. She is now with Spalding/Emig Co., where she has appraised all property types and currently specializes in multifamily.

She got her start in New York City, learning under her first mentors, Amanda Aaron, MAI, and Jordan Acebo-Hermiller, MAI, of Aaron Valuation, Inc. She also credits John Emig, MAI, Aaron Emig, MAI, and Ann Rutledge, MAI, SRA, for their guidance along the way. She still remembers her first inspection as a trainee, an $80MM+ apartment building in Brooklyn.

Her advice to current candidates: “Don’t try to tackle everything at once or too soon; small steps will still get you there!”

Earning the MAI designation is a remarkable achievement, the result of years of dedication, professional excellence, and leadership within the valuation community. We’re proud to celebrate this milestone with you and look forward to your continued impact on the profession.
