Christmas will be here before you know it! I'll be posting ideas to help remind you that you SHOULD NOT have to go broke buying gifts for everyone! I'll never understand this. Ever! If you have great ideas, feel free to add to my lists! Let's get back to just being present with our loved ones. Gifting shouldn't be an annual family competition. Come together as a family and set the rules. I've watched too many loved ones go more in to debt because they're obligated to load up the gifts under the tree. STOP THIS NONSENSE!
Here are some ideas:
🥩🍗🎂🍽Cook a meal together and arrange 1 night a month for everyone to host a dinner night with loved ones.
🎐🎏Make homemade ornaments and exchange them
🗞⏳️Create a time capsule
🍪🥧🍩🥮Make cookie/dessert trays for each other
🫂Volunteer at a community kitchen as a family
🌲🎄Make wreaths or decorate small Christmas trees together
🎟🎫🗿🎶📽🏟If you must buy something, buy an experience with WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD. Great examples are zoo passes, museum passes, concert tickets, music/art lessons, magazine subscriptions, car wash membership, grocery store delivery subscriptions, movie theater passes.
🏕🚤🎣🏔⛵️Plan group adventures to outdoor activities like the Manitou Incline, fishing/kayak days at the reservoir, hiking trails, attempt one of the 14ers!
🎁🧸🎱White elephant gift exchanges with something in your own home as gifts.
🏡🧹🪣🫧🧼🧽🪟Agree to go to one family members house once a month and everyone help clean, declutter.
What else can you add❓️❓️❓️
